FRANKCAS X3

Automatic emergency lighting testing and monitoring

A DIN-rail box that takes the monthly emergency light test off somebody’s to-do list. X3 runs the EN 62034 calendar itself, reads lamp, battery and circuit faults as they appear, and writes every result into a BS 5266-1 logbook you can export as a PDF for any period. It connects either straight onto a DALI emergency line, or on top of an existing Tridonic sceneCOM evo over RJ45 — and it is managed from any browser on the site network, with the cloud link entirely optional.

X3 is licensed per unit and locked to its hardware; an unlicensed unit runs in demo mode. In the X3 sceneCOM configuration, how many sceneCOM controllers one X3 can serve depends on the licence. The iotfrankcas.com cloud link is optional — X3 is fully usable from the site network alone.
  • EN 62034 monthly function and annual duration tests, on its own calendar
  • Duration tests in batches, so part of each area stays charged
  • BS 5266-1 digital logbook — every result, fault, repair and user action, dated
  • PDF logbook reports for any period, plus a weekly email summary
  • Email alerts for new faults, failed tests and loss of contact
  • Floor plans: drag each fitting onto your own drawings, faults glow red
  • X3 Direct: one DALI line, up to 64 short addresses (IEC 62386-202, DT1)
  • X3 sceneCOM: adds testing to a Tridonic sceneCOM evo over RJ45
  • Built-in HTTPS web interface — nothing to install, no cloud needed
  • NVMe SSD, hardware and software watchdogs, settings backup and restore

Which configuration: X3 Direct suits a site with no lighting control system, or one with a dedicated emergency DALI line — X3 runs that line itself. X3 sceneCOM suits a site that already has Tridonic sceneCOM evo and just needs testing and reporting added on top. The X3 page walks through both.
